Sam DeRosa is a multi-platinum artist and songwriter originally from NY, now based in Los Angeles. Sam penned TikTok star Dixie D’Amelio’s break out single “be happy,” which has over 300 million streams across all platforms and broke top 40 at pop radio. She also co-wrote “broken” by Lovelytheband which is was the longest running song on the Alternative Songs chart (76 weeks). Sam’s artist career took over in 2019 after she was sought out by NBC for the pilot of NBC’s SONGLAND. Her episode went on to be the season 1 finale (over 6 million viewers). Sam went on the episode as a songwriter and instead was told to keep her song and release it herself, as an artist. Sam’s song from the show “Pill for this” sat cozy at #3 on the pop iTunes charts and #6 globally for two straight weeks.
